This is Josiah out playing with our next door neighbor, Elera. She just turned 3 in January, so they're very close in age. Despite the fact that Elera is very girly and Josiah is very boyish, they play super well together. There is a little boy named Caden who lives a couple of doors down who Josiah and Elera like to play with too, although he's not out as often. Whenever Josiah hears any kids outside our living room window, he runs to look outside, and if it's Elera or Caden he's ready to head out right away. It's nice because he doesn't need our encouragement to go and join in- he takes the initiative now. He's comfortable with them and they have lots of room to ride and run around. He's growing up. Pretty quickly.

Hey Jen. I saw Kelly (Carter's mom) on Sunday which of course reminded me of you and Josiah. It's so good to see Josiah out socializing and enjoying life. My son has moved from playing with girls to dating one. She is beautiful, smart, talented and a Christian so I can't exactly complain. But still, it's way too soon and I wish he was just out riding his bike with a little cutie like Elera instead.

I noticed Elera has the fancy car and Josiah is on the bike. Is this a future trend? :)
