We've been doing what we can to keep cool around here. The last 10 days or so have been soooooo hot. Hottest on record around here. Last Wednesday was the hottest day Chilliwack has seen- 38.8 degrees. When I checked the weather at 6pm it said it was 36 degrees and felt like 43. "Yeah," I thought, "That feels about right." I felt like I was melting. It was too hot to go outside. Too hot to stay inside. Too hot to go for a drive. (Our AC is broken in our car.) Too hot to cook. Too hot to clean. I love our house here, but I really miss the central air we had in our house in Selkirk. So, today is only supposed to be 25 degrees or something, so that will be a nice reprieve. We're leaving tomorrow morning to go camping in Oliver, which is notoriously hotter than the rest of BC... Smart. I think it's supposed to be 30-35 degrees for the 3 days we're there. In a tent. Awesome. =) But, we're on a lake, and our friends have AC in their trailer! Sweet.

Cute pics! Too bad the pool isn't big enough for you too! :) I hope camping was fun!
Sorry, that was me who had the deleted comment, it got posted twice...
i think the word is "ripping hot". i believe the graduated scale goes like this:
1. sweaty hot
2. dang hot
3. pit stick melting hot
4. stinkin hot
5. ripping hot
6. blisteringly hot
7. gates of hell hot
jon
I wasn't aware of this scale. This is very helpful info. I look forward to using the "pit stick melting hot" phrase in the future. =)
You camped in Oliver? That's my hometown.
It's been cold out here in Toronto. I'm still waiting for summer to hit.
