"Raptor"
"Magnum XL 200"
"Top Thrill Dragster"
"Top Thrill Dragster" on the way down...These are just some of the amazing rides at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio, voted the best amusement park in the world in 2006, for the 9th consecutive year! 9th year! They have 17 roller coasters in all! 17!
Plus 11 other thrill rides. "Power Tower," "Skyhawk," and "MaXair" to name a few. The droppy, twisty, swingy kind of rides. 11!
Plus Soak City- the outdoor waterpark that boasts 12 waterslides and a wave pool all on the beaches of lake Erie.
Plus Camp Snoopy with rides and entertainment galore for kids. Dwayne and I plan on steering completely clear of Camp Snoopy. Completely!
"What's this all about", you say? Why am I telling you about the best amusement park in the world, you ask? Because Dwayne and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this summer, and we're ringing in the next decade with a bang! We're leaving the kids with Nana and Papa, getting on a plane to Cleveland, staying for 5 glorious nights at a quiet, kid-free bed and breakfast in Milan, Ohio, and spending 4 fun-filled days at the best amusement park in the world! (Did I mention it's been voted the best in the world? For 9 consecutive years! By who, you may ask? Amusement World- the biggest amusement park fans/experts around. So it must be true.) =)
Our tickets are booked. We leave on August 11th and return on the 16th. We're more than a little excited. About the rides, certainly. But also about the uninterrupted sleep, meals, and conversations! Oh bliss! Cedar Point, here we come.

So I think you are a great writer, but I now I have a beef to pick with you. ;)I told Josh he and I should do something special for our 10th in two years, and we have been planning for an Alaskan cruise for awhile, so I after I read your blog to him I said "Is there any way we can go to Alaska in two years?" He said, "I would rather go to Cedar Point. . ."
I feel sick just looking at those rollercoasters! But I am very happy for you guys. Lucky for you it won't be like when we went to Canada's Wonderland: I won't be there, feeling like I'm going to puke and keeping you from all the amusement park bliss!

What are you talking about?? We have plans on calling you in the middle of the night if perhaps the children wake up a little upset that their dear parents are enjoying themselves just a little too much.:) Now that I've seen those coasters, watch your email for Will Kit information.
Luv Nana and Papa:)
You have got to be kidding! That makes me dizzy just looking at the pictures. But seriously, I think it's awesome you guys are planning to celebrate being together for 10 years. It's kind of fitting I guess, seeing as marriage can be a bit of a roller coaster ride from time to time.
I think you should change your plans to include spending the night in a little honda civic under the Golden Gate bridge. :)
What you've got planned sounds like much more fun!!
Having been to Cedar Point about a dozen times, I would have to say you are in for quite a treat!! It really is awesome. I recommend "Mantis". Makes me want to go home.
