Abby turned 5 months old last week and she's doing pretty well at sitting up. Still lots of tipping, but she's learning. =)
Josiah's class went on a field trip today to a place in town called Dicken's Sweet Shop. They got a little tour of a Christmas village, drank hot chocolate, and got to meet with Santa. This was Josiah's first Santa visit, as his personality doesn't lend itself well to meeting a strange man dressed in a costume and sitting on his lap for a casual conversation... (Mind you, how many personalities naturally lend themselves to that kind of situation?) I wasn't sure how he'd do today, but we talked it up for a few days, and then he saw his friend Joshua talk to Santa with ease... That created the perfect scenario for Josiah: he was well prepared and it was proven safe. =) Josiah is a very cautious little guy- especially in new social situations. I could tell he was a bit nervous, but he just walked up and said hello and carried on with the whole tradition. He was very brave and I was very proud.

My goodness Jen, your kids are getting SO big! Josiah is a little man! What cuties. I laughed about the part of the personality and Santa Claus. It is so true, it's a wonder that any kids make it through that initial visit. (Some don't)!
abby sits great! wow. i love the lean. i also love that josiah's doesn't look like he trusts santa for one minute.

I AM SOOOO PROUD. Abby is sitting and looking cute as ever. And Josiah we are proud of him too. I know there were many tears for me when I sat on Santa's knee at that age.
Luv Aunty Cheryl and Uncle Zach
Were you that scared Zach? Or were they tears of joy!
