See ya next year

This past week marked Josiah's last day of preschool. This year was such a good experience! Josiah changed a lot between being almost 3 and now almost 4. He's really grown up in lots of ways. I took a picture of him and his teacher, Ms. Annette, who is soooo wonderful. She is very sweet and gentle-spirited, but has great guidelines and a firmness all those little 3 year olds seemed to respect and listen to. It was great to watch her teach. The wonderful thing is that she will also be Josiah's preschool teacher in September when he moves to the 4 year old class and 3 mornings a week. That will be helpful for the transition back into school routine in the fall. For now, though, we're looking forward to a summer off of routine and full of beaches, pools, backyards, campgrounds, bike rides, park visits, sporting activities, BBQ's, and hang out time with friends and family. Ahhh...summer vacation. =)

My goodness, your planned (or unplanned?) summer sounds so wonderful. . .can I come? Oh wait, you did invite us and we couldn't come. . .well if you could think of us once in awhile, that would be like we are sort of there. Right? Right? I wish you a fantastic summer my lovely friend!

That's great how Josiah's "grown up". Yes, that's too bad there's so many miles between us. We're flying to Portland, Oregon for my brother's wedding over the August long week end and originally wanted to fly to Vancouver and then drive down so we could check in on the Hansen's, but it didn't work out. Enjoy your summer vacation, although it's been cold here. Aren't you heading off to Cincinnati for the big theme park trip too?
