My, my, my, this was a full and wonderful day! But all I want to focus on from it is that fact that I LOVE football!!! It's my absolute favorite sport. And I LOVE the Riders! (I also LOVE the Stampeders, but I'm dying to see the Riders win the Grey Cup, so they were my first choice this season.. It's tough having divided loyalties, and I hardly respect myself for it, but I can't seem to help it..)
I actually got to watch the game today, which has historically not always been the case during playoff social events. Usually I am distracted by hosting and all that entails, or my child(ren), or conversations with my girlfriends who came but don't really care at all about football and I don't get a chance to really focus on the game. But, today, I made sure things were in place. The friends all knew I was really, really, really interested in the game. The kids were remarkably well behaved. The food was out and accessible for people to help themselves. The stage was set... I was the lone Rider fan in a room full of Lions fans... It was beautiful. =) I was not disappointed. I am a happy girl. I'm so excited for Grey Cup next week!!!! It seems perfect that the Riders are playing their ultimate rivals in the Bombers. I'm just really, really satisfied this evening. Today I'm thankful for loooong awaited victories!

Oh poo poo! Don't you think you would have enjoyed the game better if BC had actually shown up and played well? Oh, well, if they had we wouldn't be in this situation. It's nice that your happy. I'm sad. We'll get you good next year.
;)
No, I would not have been happier if BC had played better. I'm quite happy with the way they played. =)
Haha!!! I love the Riders too even though I am in Bomber country. Today when my chiropractor asked me about how excited I was about the Bombers in the Grey Cup, I was like "You realize I am a Rider fan, right?" He told me next time to tell him that After he has adjusted my spine." I think that was really good advice. Hopefully the Riders are more on the ball than I was. . .;)
